About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IT services organization in Berlin that supports non-profit organizations, foundations, and NGOs across Germany. Our client provides essential IT infrastructure so their clients can focus on their missions. As their recruitment partner, we're seeking an IT Support Specialist (m/w/d) who will serve as a trusted technical partner—not an anonymous helpdesk—for organizations doing meaningful work.

This is a hands-on support role where you'll handle day-to-day IT requests while contributing to system improvements and automation. You'll work within established standards but have the autonomy to solve problems independently and suggest process enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • First & Second Level Support: Handle requests via Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email; analyze issues, implement solutions, and escalate appropriately with fast response times and clear communication
  • Account & Identity Management: Perform password and MFA resets with proper identity verification; manage users, groups, and distribution lists in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace; assign security groups and permissions following least-privilege principles
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Set up and distribute devices; create and deactivate accounts; provide welcome packages and initial training for new staff; ensure clean handovers
  • Device & Software Management (macOS & Windows): Triage hardware issues; package and deploy software via Intune including Windows apps, macOS packages, silent installs, and detection rules; roll out updates and patches; configure Apple devices from unboxing through enrollment via Apple Business Manager
  • M365 & Google Workspace Support: Troubleshoot mailbox issues; manage SharePoint, OneDrive, and Drive permissions and sharing; configure Teams and Meet for new users
  • User Training & On-Site Support: Conduct brief training sessions on MFA, password managers, and phishing awareness; provide occasional on-site support in Berlin for hardware delivery, training, and basic networking; explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Documentation: Record solutions thoroughly in tickets; create user guides for common tasks; identify recurring issues and help develop standards

What We're Looking For

  • Completed training as IT Specialist (System Integration) or comparable practical experience; candidates fresh from training are welcome
  • Solid foundation in at least one of these three areas, with basic knowledge of the others: Microsoft 365 (users, groups, licenses, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive), Apple macOS in enterprise environments (ideally with Apple Business Manager experience), Windows Client & Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, file services)
  • Initial exposure to Intune or comparable MDM systems; willingness to learn software distribution and packaging
  • Confident use of AI tools to accelerate problem-solving, while understanding security boundaries and not executing scripts you don't comprehend
  • Very good German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good written and spoken English
  • Class B driver's license for client meetings and hardware deliveries in Berlin
  • Patience and friendly demeanor, even with repetitive requests
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and understandably

Preferred qualifications: Basic scripting experience (PowerShell or Shell), experience with ticketing systems, familiarity with backup systems, interest in the non-profit sector, desire to develop toward IT administration roles

How We Work With You

When you apply through Get A Job.ai, our talent team will review your CV and conduct an initial screening conversation. We'll discuss your technical background, language proficiency, and interest in supporting mission-driven organizations. If there's a strong match, we'll submit your profile to our client for consideration. Please do not contact the client organization directly—all communication and interview coordination will be managed through our recruitment team to ensure a professional process.

Pay

The client offers €40,000 – €52,000 gross per year based on experience (prorated for part-time arrangements). Full-time (40 hours) or part-time (28–40 hours per week) arrangements are available. Additional benefits include professional development budget, gym membership or Deutschland-Ticket options, team retreats, flexible home office arrangements after onboarding, and an office in Berlin-Schöneberg.

Get A Job.ai is an equal opportunity recruiter. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background and are committed to fair, transparent hiring processes.
