About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Senior Security Researcher to join their advanced research function. This is a fully remote position based in Germany, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge vulnerability research, exploit analysis, and automated threat detection at massive scale.

Our client processes security events at an extraordinary volume, and their research team plays a critical role in identifying emerging threats, analyzing adversary techniques, and developing tools that support global security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated solutions for collecting, processing, and analyzing security data at scale, including vendor patch analysis, exploit identification in large file collections, browser exploit detection, and malicious infrastructure identification
  • Perform vulnerability research across diverse targets: analyze vendor patches to identify vulnerabilities and develop proof-of-concept exploits, review evidence of malicious activities to confirm exploitation of zero-day and n-day vulnerabilities, and discover new vulnerabilities in applications and products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce emerging vulnerabilities, provide actionable technical intelligence, and satisfy unique technical collection requirements
  • Publish research findings through technical blogs and at industry conferences
  • Provide rapid technical solutions to support ad-hoc intelligence needs across the organization

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • 4+ years of information security experience with a strong technical foundation
  • Proven vulnerability research and exploit development experience
  • Reverse engineering expertise
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating system internals
  • Strong software development skills (Python preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage GenAI and LLMs for software development and vulnerability research
  • Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive business outcomes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently with a customer-oriented mindset
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Bonus qualifications:

  • Successful CTF competition participation
  • Experience with mobile platforms (Android, iOS) or macOS
  • Proficiency in Go or Rust programming languages
  • Threat Intelligence background
