Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential legal technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack based in New Zealand. Our client is a fast-growing global software company serving enterprise customers across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

This role offers a unique balance of hands-on technical execution and emerging leadership responsibilities. You'll mentor junior engineers, guide medium-to-high complexity technical initiatives, and help shape technical direction while working with significant autonomy. Operating within cross-functional teams including Product, Design, QA, and Data, you'll build scalable solutions for global enterprise customers and develop the skills needed to advance into senior technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business needs into scalable, elegant technical solutions for global enterprise customers
• Balance hands-on full-stack development with mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance
• Lead medium-to-high complexity technical initiatives with significant autonomy
• Build and maintain shared component libraries while optimizing web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Engage directly with customers and cross-functional peers to refine requirements and iterate on solutions
• Drive projects from conception to delivery with minimal supervision, anticipating and resolving technical risks early
• Integrate AI coding assistants and agents into development workflows to accelerate delivery
• Champion quality through automated testing frameworks, secure coding standards, and Agile delivery practices

What We're Looking For

Technical & Domain Expertise:

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience
• Core backend expertise in C# (.NET Framework /.NET Core) and REST API design
• Commercial frontend experience using TypeScript and Angular
• Experience with Azure PaaS / Web App services, GitHub, automated build systems, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability building UI systems with focus on performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility

Delivery & Engineering Culture:

• Comfortable with automated testing frameworks and QA best practices
• Experience with secure coding standards and Agile delivery frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating AI coding tools into daily development workflow
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to work directly with customers
