About This Opportunity
We are representing a well-funded Berlin-based startup in the data infrastructure space. Our client is building cutting-edge products that enable modern data systems at scale. They are backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors and led by experienced founders with a track record in data products.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will take complete ownership of the cloud environment and play a pivotal role in establishing mature DevOps practices across the engineering organization. This is an early-stage opportunity where you will work directly with technical leadership and make foundational architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Continuously refine and optimize cloud infrastructure with focus on scalability, maintainability, and security
- Manage, monitor, and scale SQL and Linux servers, as well as Kubernetes (EKS) clusters to ensure high availability
- Lead technical infrastructure initiatives including architecture design, testing, monitoring, and security
- Partner with product engineering teams on complex architecture requirements
- Collaborate with the Platform Team to evaluate, iterate, and execute strategies that drive DevOps best practices organization-wide
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure management and optimization
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, particularly EKS clusters
- Proven track record managing SQL and Linux server environments at scale
- Demonstrated ability to implement DevOps culture and best practices
- Experience leading infrastructure architecture initiatives
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product teams
- Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
