About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology client in Leipzig who is expanding their international operations. As their business grows globally, they need an experienced leader to manage and optimize their order management team and cross-border fulfillment processes.

We're seeking a Team Leader for Order Management to join their organization in a full-time capacity (part-time from 30 hours/week is negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the order management team (currently 2 team members), including performance development, task prioritization, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the complete order-to-delivery cycle for domestic and international customers, ensuring high service quality and process compliance
• Create, review, and maintain all order-related, export, and customs documentation in accordance with international trade regulations
• Communicate professionally with national and international customers and distribution partners
• Coordinate shipping and export logistics, including management of third-party logistics providers
• Research and ensure compliance with country-specific import regulations and requirements
• Maintain accurate and transparent data in ERP and IT systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product management, production, and customer support teams
• Document, optimize, and further develop operational processes around ordering, shipping, and international export with particular focus on process efficiency
• Analyze existing workflows and implement improvements to order management operations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in team leadership with a track record of motivating people and achieving collective goals
• Several years of professional experience in order management, export management, logistics, or comparable operational roles
• Successfully completed degree in business administration, commercial training, or equivalent qualification; specialization in foreign trade or logistics is ideal
• Strong interest in international business processes and cross-cultural collaboration
• High degree of initiative, social competence, decision-making ability, and sense of responsibility
• Ability to maintain overview amid diverse operational and organizational demands, set clear priorities, and work in a structured manner
• Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong service orientation and hands-on mentality
• Proficient use of Excel, ERP, and CRM systems
• Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
• Interest and enthusiasm for managing change, questioning processes, and exploring new approaches
