About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing renewable energy organization based in Achim (near Bremen) that is seeking a Senior SEO & AI Search Manager at expert level. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead search strategy for a client operating in the sustainable energy e-commerce space.

Our client has experienced rapid growth and needs a strategic search professional who understands that SEO extends beyond traditional rankings into GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI-powered search systems. You'll own the full search channel from technical architecture through content strategy to emerging AI search visibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategy identifying growth opportunities and creating scalable content structures for sustainable organic growth
• Advance technical SEO architecture in collaboration with e-commerce and external IT teams to ensure stable, scalable infrastructure
• Expand organic search presence across SEO, GEO, and AI Search channels, ensuring visibility where customers search and make purchase decisions today and tomorrow
• Analyze Search Console and GA4 data independently, cleanly separate organic from paid traffic, identify keyword and content cannibalization issues, and implement corrective measures
• Prioritize SEO initiatives based on business impact and resources using data-driven decision frameworks
• Integrate SEO requirements into content, brand, and creative processes while aligning content strategy with search optimization
• Coordinate cross-functional SEO projects with e-commerce, conversion rate optimization, and design teams
• Track how search traffic converts throughout the entire funnel—understanding that SEO success means impact, not just visibility
• Align strategically with external publisher and affiliate partners on search visibility in competitive product categories

What We're Looking For

• Several years of expert-level SEO experience, ideally in e-commerce or agency environments with strategic responsibility
• Deep knowledge of technical SEO, content SEO, and data-driven optimization approaches
• Proven track record developing and implementing sustainable SEO strategies
• Advanced proficiency with Search Console and GA4, particularly separating organic/paid traffic and identifying cannibalization issues
• Experience with or strong interest in GEO and AI Search as core components of modern search strategy
• Excellent analytical capabilities and comfort with SEO and web analytics tools
• Experience prioritizing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of funnel logic and conversion optimization—thinking beyond ranking positions
• Structured, autonomous working style with strong communication skills
• High affinity for data, processes, and continuous optimization
• German language proficiency required for this role in the German market
