About This Position

As Senior Revenue Recognition Coordinator I, you'll manage the complete lifecycle of over-the-counter contracts, from initial setup through revenue recognition and billing. This role demands precision in applying accounting standards, maintaining rigorous financial documentation, and collaborating across sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure every contract is processed accurately and reflected correctly in our financial systems. You'll support critical close activities and help maintain the financial integrity that Nielsen's stakeholders depend on.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set up and process over-the-counter contracts through established workflows and systems
• Apply revenue recognition accounting standards and validate compliance with company policy
• Support billing operations to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment cycles
• Reconcile contract data across systems to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all contracts under management
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve contract queries and billing issues
• Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close activities and financial reporting cycles
• Monitor contract performance and provide analytical reporting to finance leadership

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
• 2–4 years of professional experience in revenue recognition, contract administration, billing operations, or finance roles
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and applicable accounting standards
• Hands-on proficiency with finance and ERP systems; contract or billing platform experience preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver results within strict deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy and compliance
