Senior Manager*in Creation & Design

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading sports organization in Germany, is seeking a Senior Manager Creation & Design to join their brand communications team in Frankfurt am Main. In this role, you will take ownership of sophisticated design projects while providing creative direction and working closely with brand management leadership.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading complex design projects from briefing through visual concept development to final roll-out, maintaining quality, timing, and practical application throughout
• Translating brand strategy into visual narratives by developing key visuals, image concepts, and modular design systems that accurately convey brand identity
• Designing and executing cross-channel communication materials for digital, social media, print, out-of-home, video, event, and stadium branding applications
• Evolving corporate and brand identities to remain contemporary while developing new visual foundations when needed
• Creating and maintaining design manuals, layout grids, templates, and asset libraries to ensure consistent brand application
• Preparing production-ready files through artwork finalization, image editing, and compositing for various production workflows
• Managing stakeholder interfaces, presenting design decisions with clear rationale, and steering projects to successful completion
• Briefing and managing external agencies and creative partners, evaluating deliverables against defined quality standards
• Providing creative feedback and methodology support to colleagues to strengthen overall team design quality
• Monitoring relevant design, technology, and industry trends and integrating valuable insights into standards and workflows

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in communication design, graphic design, media design, or comparable qualification
• Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in brand or communication design, ideally within sports, agency, or entertainment environments
• Compelling portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength, excellent design execution, and confident cross-media implementation
• Exceptional design competence with strong instincts for typography, composition, visual language, image aesthetics, color climate, and brand impact
• Experience developing, documenting, and applying modular corporate and brand design systems across multiple channels
• Conceptual and strategic mindset with ability to structure complex content and translate brand strategies into clear visual concepts
• Production and process expertise including knowledge of workflows for print, out-of-home, digital, video, and event branding, plus experience with asset and template management
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; familiarity with Figma and After Effects or Premiere is advantageous
• Project and stakeholder management skills with ability to structure multiple simultaneous projects, communicate clearly, and engage confidently with internal clients, agencies, and partners
• Collaborative approach with ability to justify design decisions persuasively, provide constructive feedback, and share knowledge within the team
• Initiative and flexibility with reliable, solution-oriented working style and high quality standards; willingness to travel and occasional availability for weekend or holiday assignments
• German language proficiency required for this Frankfurt-based position
