Senior Legal Counsel

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading SaaS organization in their search for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their EMEA legal team, based in London. This role offers the opportunity to work directly at the commercial deal table, driving revenue growth and scaling a global cloud technology business. You'll have genuine autonomy, direct visibility into strategic decisions, and the platform to shape your career trajectory within a collaborative, globally distributed legal function.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS commercial agreements, including data processing addenda and security terms in support of EMEA go-to-market activities
• Coach and advise regional sales teams on deal structure, negotiation tactics, and customer dispute resolution to accelerate sales velocity
• Structure and negotiate channel partnership agreements with resellers, MSPs, distributors, and global system integrators
• Collaborate with privacy and compliance teams to embed practical risk-tolerance strategies and standardize commercial contract responses under GDPR, DORA, and other global privacy regimes
• Own, refine, and modernize SaaS agreement templates, negotiation playbooks, and contract escalation workflows to ensure legal operations scale with business growth
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Finance, and Contract Management, aligning legal strategy with consumption-based business models and product-led growth goals

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Qualified to practice law and in good standing with the Solicitors Regulation Authority or equivalent UK regulatory body
• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex SaaS commercial contracts, partner frameworks, and cloud technology agreements
• Solid knowledge of revenue recognition principles
• Hands-on knowledge of data privacy, artificial intelligence, security topics, and global compliance frameworks within commercial SaaS transactions
• Proactive, strategic approach to working directly with enterprise sales teams to drive deal execution across EMEA
• Proven ability to manage competing deliverables, prioritize under deadlines, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust across functions, regions, and executive levels

Preferred qualifications:

• In-house legal experience at a technology company
• Familiarity with consumption-based pricing models in SaaS
• Direct experience handling GSI/reseller partner agreements
• Knowledge of AI products, LLMs, and product lifecycle considerations
• Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E) or deep familiarity with the EU AI Act and DORA
