Head of Projects (m/w/d) – Data Center

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential data center infrastructure organization seeking a Head of Projects to lead and expand their Asset Upgrade and Replacement operations across the DACH and CEE regions. This role carries full P&L responsibility and combines strategic business development with hands-on project delivery leadership in one of Europe's fastest-growing technical infrastructure markets.

Based in Frankfurt am Main, this position requires regular travel throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Central/Eastern Europe, with occasional out-of-hours attendance for critical maintenance windows in live 24/7 operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Own regional profit and loss performance, driving aggressive year-on-year revenue growth from a current base of approximately $3 million annually through pipeline development and new client acquisition
• Lead safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of capital upgrade and replacement projects spanning Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, fire protection, and security systems in live data center environments
• Build and convert a 12-to-24-month sales pipeline leveraging an established network of data center clients, investors, and colocation operators across DACH and CEE
• Lead all bids, tenders, and commercial proposals; apply industry-focused procurement strategies including competitive tendering and supply chain management
• Ensure commercial compliance across FIDIC and other relevant contract frameworks; identify and manage risk across multi-jurisdiction projects
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and support professionals; lead workforce planning and succession
• Represent the organization credibly to prospective clients, industry forums, and internal operational stakeholders
• Partner with QHSE, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, and Technical leadership to align delivery with broader business objectives
• Maintain audit-ready project administration and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 7 years' experience delivering infrastructure projects within the DACH/CEE region
• At least 3 years managing teams across multiple countries
• End-to-end P&L accountability experience; strong working knowledge of FIDIC and recognized contract frameworks
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies, including supply chain selection and back-to-back subcontracting
• Track record growing project revenue; established network across data center clients, investors, and operators in DACH/CEE
• Recognized project management qualification (PMI PMP, APM PMQ, or equivalent)
• Engineering degree or diploma
• Business-level English and German (written and spoken)
• Direct experience managing recruitment, performance, and development of project professionals
