Senior/Staff Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI platform organization based in London that is building the next generation of collaborative engineering tools. Our client is looking for Senior or Staff-level Software Engineers to join their growing team and develop cutting-edge AI-powered capabilities that transform how engineering teams work.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of AI, product development, and full-stack engineering. You will take features from early prototype through to stable production systems, working on agentic workflows that help teams design, validate, and evolve complex technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship AI-powered features including assisted content drafting, consistency validation, impact analysis, and intelligent recommendation systems
• Build agentic workflows that enable exploration of designs, simulation of changes, and validation of technical specifications
• Evaluate and integrate language models and related tooling, optimizing for reliability, latency, cost, and debuggability in production environments
• Build and maintain supporting infrastructure including data pipelines, evaluation frameworks, prompt and model management systems, observability tools, and safety guardrails
• Work across the full stack—from backend integrations and APIs to frontend interfaces—to deliver complete AI-driven features
• Partner with product and customer-facing teams to identify high-value workflows, run experiments, and iterate rapidly based on real-world usage

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience developing production software, including designing, testing, and operating services at scale in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM providers and tooling (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, vector stores, RAG patterns)
• Familiarity with prompt design, retrieval-augmented systems, evaluation methodologies, and safety/guardrail approaches
• Ability to reason about tradeoffs between different models, architectures, and deployment patterns and make pragmatic technical decisions
• Comfortable working in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment where experimentation and iteration are standard practice
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js and Python for AI and backend services
• Familiarity with modern LLM APIs, orchestration libraries, Postgres, and managed cloud services
