Senior Bid & Pursuit Manager / Proposal Manager (m/w/d) – Cloud, Data & AI Consulting

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud and data consulting organization seeking a Senior Bid & Pursuit Manager to orchestrate complex proposal and pitch processes from initial client inquiry through final submission.

You will serve as the central coordinating force throughout the pursuit lifecycle, managing sales, delivery teams, service lines, management, and partners to produce compelling proposals and presentations. Your primary objective is to elevate win rates, streamline stakeholder workloads, and advance the quality of client offerings.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end RfP, RfI, pitch, and proposal processes from inquiry to submission
• Analyzing client requirements, tender documentation, evaluation criteria, and deadlines
• Creating and managing bid plans with clear accountability, milestones, and timelines
• Coordinating stakeholders across sales, delivery, service lines, management, legal, finance, and partner teams
• Developing win strategies, value propositions, and persuasive proposal narratives
• Preparing and facilitating bid meetings, pitches, and executive reviews
• Tracking open items, risks, and decision points throughout the pursuit
• Building and maintaining reusable proposal content, references, case studies, and templates
• Conducting lessons learned sessions and continuously optimizing bid and pursuit processes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of experience in bid management, proposal management, pursuit management, pre-sales, sales operations, project management, or comparable roles
• Proven track record managing RfPs, RfIs, tenders, pitches, and complex client proposals, ideally in IT or consulting environments
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication, organizational, and influence skills
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and standard collaboration tools
• Fluent German and strong English language skills
• Ability to quickly grasp complex content and translate it into compelling proposal and pitch materials

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in IT consulting, cloud, data, AI, analytics, or digital transformation environments
• Understanding of consulting service offerings, delivery models, and commercial proposal components
• Experience with enterprise clients or complex procurement processes
• Foundational understanding of cloud, data, or AI concepts

You don't need to be a technical architect, but you should understand technical content sufficiently to ask the right questions and engage the appropriate subject matter experts.
