About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing healthcare technology organization that is expanding rapidly across the UK and European markets. Our client needs a Finance Manager on the ground in London who can own regional financial integrity while acting as a true business partner to commercial leadership. This is a dual-mandate role: you'll ensure the numbers are right and compliant, and you'll sit close enough to Sales and Customer Success to shape decisions before they're made.

Currently, regional leaders wait on other time zones for answers about their own P&L. You'll change that by becoming the trusted finance voice for UK and Europe—owning month-end accuracy, statutory compliance through external advisers, and the commercial narrative that drives better decisions.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Month-End Close

  • Own the integrity of the UK and Europe balance sheet with current, reviewed reconciliations
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and group reporting with clear variance commentary
  • Act as the single point of contact for group finance on all UK and Europe matters: queries, adjustments, restatements, consolidation questions

Compliance and Risk Oversight

  • Own the UK and Europe compliance calendar (Companies House, HMRC, VAT) by directing external accountants and advisers
  • Manage adviser relationships to ensure work is well-scoped, reviewed, and aligned with internal finance standards
  • Build early-warning processes so compliance risk is caught and escalated before it threatens operations

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Partner day-to-day with UK and Europe leadership, owning the regional P&L narrative and budget-versus-actual analysis
  • Bring a commercial lens to pricing, deal terms, and customer economics—flagging risk and opportunity early
  • Translate regional performance into decision-ready input for FP&A and company leadership
  • Provide business leaders with a reliable, self-serve view of their numbers so decisions don't wait on other time zones

Revenue Risk and Collections

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve aged and disputed balances
  • Own the commercial view of collection risk and feed it into forecasting
  • Drive down DSO by fixing upstream causes—contracting issues, disputes, process gaps—not just chasing invoices

FinOps, Controls, and Performance Frameworks

  • Build the operating rhythm that turns regional finance from reactive support into a reliable performance framework
  • Partner with budget owners on spend decisions before they are made
  • Strengthen financial controls across spend, approvals, vendor onboarding, subscriptions, and commercial commitments while keeping processes pragmatic
  • Review regional AP and card activity, ensure prompt removal of leaver access, and escalate anomalies
  • Use FinOps discipline to connect spend, usage, and outcomes across tooling, GTM systems, and operating expenses

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen—comfortable moving between P&L narrative, deal economics, and cash impact
  • Experience business partnering with Sales, Customer Success, or regional leadership in a growth business
  • Track record improving collections or DSO by fixing root causes, not just process
  • Experience owning spend or expense controls in a way that supports the business rather than only governing it
  • Comfortable directing (not necessarily performing) statutory compliance and VAT work through external advisers
  • High degree of autonomy and ownership in a small, remote-first global finance team
  • Clear, confident communicator—able to hold your own with commercial leaders and external advisers
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency business

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Exposure to Companies House, HMRC, and Irish Revenue processes
  • Experience with modern finance tooling platforms
