About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential IT services organization in Germany seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Architect to join their cloud computing and AI practice in Nuremberg. This position may also be performed from Hamburg, Münster, Berlin, Mainz, or Bochum.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern cloud platforms that provide the technological foundation for business applications and AI solutions, supporting clients from initial concept through successful production deployment
• Design, develop, and evolve future-ready cloud architectures based on Microsoft Azure, providing consultation on IT landscape modernization
• Build and operate scalable platforms for container, Kubernetes, and AI workloads
• Automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices
• Provide technical consulting and support to clients in workshops, projects, and strategic architecture and technology decisions
• Maintain architectural responsibility for cloud solutions with consideration for scalability, security, and operational stability
• Collaborate with clients, departments, and project teams to develop and implement sustainable cloud strategies

What We're Looking For

• University degree in computer science, comparable training, or several years of professional experience
• Multiple years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes
• Experience with various hypervisors and as-a-Service concepts
• Strong knowledge of Linux, cloud networking, and automation
• Consulting skills and enthusiasm for modern cloud technologies
• Flexibility and service orientation
• Team player with enthusiasm for learning new technologies

Ideal Microsoft Certifications:

• AZ-305 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
• AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator
• AZ-400 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
• AZ-500 – Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (desirable)
• AZ-700 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions (desirable)
