Senior Area Sales Manager (Hamburg Ost) | Food Startup (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential food startup based in Hamburg, and we're seeking a Senior Area Sales Manager to drive growth in the Hamburg East territory. In this role, you will:

• Own and manage your dedicated sales territory, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility in retail locations
• Proactively identify and approach potential new retail customers to expand market presence
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with grocery retailers and food market decision-makers
• Ensure consistent product presentation and merchandising standards across your territory
• Drive sustained revenue growth through strategic account development and territory expansion

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who combines food retail expertise with strong relationship-building skills:

• Solid sales experience, ideally within the food or grocery industry (career changers from food retail are also welcome)
• Knowledge of the German food retail landscape and grocery trade dynamics
• Outgoing, confident personality with a natural ability to initiate conversations and build rapport
• Results-driven approach with the ability to perform under pressure and meet targets
• Fluent German language skills (required for customer interactions)
• Self-starter mentality suitable for a fast-growing startup environment
