Data Scientist Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced data science professional to step into a leadership role in Paris, managing both client delivery and team development.

Responsibilities

As a Manager Data Scientist, you will lead the design, delivery, and scaling of AI projects while managing a talented team of data professionals:

• Lead end-to-end client projects: frame use cases with business stakeholders and implement AI solutions that generate measurable impact
• Ensure technical excellence: promote software engineering and MLOps best practices to deliver scalable solutions and bring them into production
• Support solution design: challenge business requirements, validate data availability, and select appropriate methodologies and architectures
• Serve as technical reference for clients: explain AI approaches clearly, provide recommendations on feasibility, risks, and ROI
• Develop trusted client relationships: interact with C-level and operational teams to establish long-term partnerships
• Manage the data science team: support staffing decisions, mentor team members, participate in career development and performance reviews
• Drive technical innovation: test and implement advanced AI approaches, build reusable accelerators and tools, maintain technology watch on emerging frameworks
• Foster collaboration: ensure effective integration between data scientists, data engineers, and business teams
• Lead by example: demonstrate technical rigor, provide constructive feedback, anticipate risks, and balance innovation with practical delivery

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions
• Strong knowledge in applied machine learning and generative AI
• Solid understanding of software engineering and MLOps best practices
• Experience with industrializing AI workflows in cloud environments

• Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver impactful projects in a business context
• Intellectual curiosity and excellent problem-solving skills
• Pragmatic and creative approach to tackling complex challenges
• Track record of mentoring junior professionals and constructively challenging senior peers
• Ability to earn trust from both technical peers and business stakeholders
• Fluency in French and English for this Paris-based role
