Accounting Apprentice

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in their search for an Accounting Apprentice in Paris. Our talent team is working directly with their Finance leadership to find a motivated individual ready to gain hands-on accounting experience in a fast-paced, international marketplace environment.

This apprenticeship offers direct exposure to accounts payable operations, monthly closing processes, and financial systems management. You'll work closely with the Head of Accounting and contribute to maintaining financial accuracy while driving process improvements across the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable end-to-end, including provider invoice processing, purchase order matching, supplier requests, and conformity checks with analytical imputation
• Analyze outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely resolution of open orders
• Participate actively in monthly closing activities, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and deferred expense calculations and postings
• Analyze and reconcile supplier auxiliary accounts to maintain accuracy
• Handle expense management tool operations, including organizational updates, transaction accounting, and daily administration
• Proactively identify and implement process enhancements to improve accounting operations efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Must be enrolled in a work-study program at a French school (contrat d'alternance/d'apprentissage) with availability starting October 2026
• Ideally available for a 24-month apprenticeship (12-month options may be discussed)
• Strong accounting knowledge with eagerness to apply theoretical learning in practice
• Hands-on, rigorous, and highly organized approach with strong analytical skills
• Natural communicator who thrives in collaborative team environments
• Proactive mindset with comfort taking initiative
• Fluent in English with at least B2 level proficiency in French
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and tackling new challenges
