Product Engineer – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that is reimagining how people interact with financial services through AI-powered tools. We are seeking a Product Engineer to own critical product areas within their AI-driven neobank application, serving the Australian market.

This is a remote position for candidates already based in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product areas across insurance, payments, savings, investing, travel, or other financial services
• Define user problems, product scope, success metrics, roadmaps, and launch plans
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, operations, compliance, and business teams
• Transform complex financial products into simple, intuitive customer journeys
• Leverage data, user feedback, research, and production insights to inform product decisions
• Launch features, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous iterations
• Navigate trade-offs between speed, user experience, business impact, compliance requirements, and operational complexity

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Product Engineer, Product Owner, founder, growth/product operator, or similar role
• Strong product sense with the ability to simplify complex workflows
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineers and designers to ship real products
• Comfortable working with metrics, user feedback, experiments, and post-launch analytics
• Excellent writing, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
• High degree of ownership with the ability to drive work independently
• Experience in fintech, insurance, payments, consumer applications, or high-growth products is strongly preferred
• Strong English communication skills required for global team collaboration
