Senior Accountant , Serbia

Join Delivery Hero's Finance team as a Senior Accountant based in Belgrade, RS. This is a full-time remote opportunity to drive financial accuracy and strategic reporting for one of the world's leading online food delivery and logistics platforms.

Position Summary

As Senior Accountant, you'll take ownership of core accounting functions that support Delivery Hero's rapid growth across Europe and beyond. You'll manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with local regulations, and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting—all while collaborating with international teams. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-impact accounting challenges within a fast-moving technology company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures, including variance analysis and reporting
• Ensure compliance with Serbian accounting standards and applicable tax regulations
• Identify process improvements and implement automation to enhance efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support business decisions
• Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent accounting role
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles and tax requirements in Serbia
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Excel expertise, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
