The Opportunity

DART Transit is hiring experienced commercial truck drivers for local, regional, and OTR freight operations with 99% no-touch loads—meaning safer freight and less manual handling. Choose routes that match your preferences: stay close to home on regional loops or maximize earning potential on long-haul over-the-road assignments. Our mileage-based compensation model supports drivers earning up to $80,000 annually, with sign-on bonuses available in select markets. More home time means more time with family—a core mission built into how we design our routes and operations.

Core Duties

• Operate a commercial vehicle safely over extended distances while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements
• Execute route planning and meet delivery schedules consistently across assigned lanes
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment reliability
• Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic records in compliance with FMCSA requirements
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to coordinate freight movement
• Protect cargo in transit and coordinate loading/unloading as appropriate for your assignment

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with air brakes endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification
• Verifiable commercial driving experience and clean driving history
• Strong understanding of federal transportation regulations and vehicle safety standards
• Professional communication and customer service abilities
• Self-directed work ethic and time-management skills for independent route operations
