Link-Belt Cranes is hiring a Safety Co-Op in Lexington, Fayette County—a part-time opportunity to gain real-world experience in occupational safety at a global manufacturing leader with over 150 years of history. You'll work directly with our safety team while earning academic credit and building expertise in workplace safety management.
About This Position
Link-Belt Cranes, a global leader in mobile crane design, manufacture, and sales, is based in Lexington, Kentucky. We're looking for a motivated Safety Co-Op to support our safety and operations teams on a part-time basis. You'll contribute to our commitment to workplace safety and occupational health while gaining hands-on experience in industrial safety practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner with the safety department to support the development and execution of workplace safety programs
- Participate in facility safety inspections and help identify potential hazards
- Assist with monitoring compliance to OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Help document and organize safety records and training materials
- Support incident reporting and investigation processes
- Contribute to safety awareness initiatives and training activities
What You Bring
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, or related discipline
- Genuine interest in workplace safety and accident prevention
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented mindset and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Basic computer literacy and comfort learning new software systems
