Relationship Manager, Leadership Annual Giving

Greater Chicago Food Depository is hiring a full-time Relationship Manager, Leadership Annual Giving in Archer Heights, Chicago. You'll build and nurture relationships with committed philanthropists, manage a dynamic donor portfolio, and help expand the Food Depository's Individual Giving program across the region.

About the Role

The Leadership Annual Giving Relationship Manager will partner closely with the LAG Director and Senior Director of Individual Giving to grow and strengthen the organization's Individual Giving initiative. You'll own a portfolio of Leadership Annual Giving donors and prospects giving between $1,000 and $24,999 per year, ensuring they remain engaged, informed, and invested in the Food Depository's hunger-relief mission.

What You'll Do

• Steward existing Leadership Annual Giving donors through personalized cultivation, regular communication, and meaningful donor experiences
• Identify, qualify, and develop new donor prospects to expand and strengthen the Individual Giving portfolio
• Conduct in-person visits and one-on-one meetings with donors to understand philanthropic interests and giving capacity
• Prepare and present thoughtful solicitations tailored to each donor's values and priorities
• Document all donor interactions and maintain accurate records within the organization's donor management system
• Coordinate donor recognition initiatives, event attendance, and impact updates that celebrate supporter contributions
• Track portfolio performance, report on Individual Giving outcomes, and contribute to program growth strategies

What We're Looking For

• Proven fundraising or development experience in a nonprofit setting, with strength in donor relationship building
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to connect authentically with supporters
• Demonstrated success managing multiple donor relationships and meeting fundraising goals
• Proficiency with donor database software (CRM) and nonprofit operations
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in tracking commitments and follow-up
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in philanthropy or development
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend donor engagement events
