About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy organization expanding its operations across Eastern Germany. We are seeking an experienced Project Developer to lead the development of wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage projects from initial site identification through to permitting readiness and handover to construction teams.

In this role, you will identify economically viable, technically feasible projects and drive them forward while managing all relevant internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure compliance with timeline, cost, quality, and development objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable sites and land for wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects, including feasibility analyses and land acquisition
• Lead project development and optimization, managing permitting and planning processes while coordinating experts, planners, authorities, and project partners
• Assess grid connection possibilities, project layouts, and economic viability while controlling costs, schedules, risks, and project budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities, grid operators, and business partners
• Coordinate internal and external project stakeholders throughout the development process
• Prepare projects for financing, marketing, sales, or handover to construction and implementation phases

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree or comparable qualification in a technical or energy economics field
• Professional experience in renewable energy project development, grid integration, or grid connection planning
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and foundational understanding of grid technical requirements
• Analytical, structured, and independent working approach
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Professional-level German language skills and advanced English proficiency required
• Authorization to work in Germany
