About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading renewable energy organization operating across Europe. Our client is seeking an experienced Project Developer to lead the development of wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects throughout Eastern Germany. This role offers the opportunity to drive sustainable energy solutions from initial site identification through to construction-ready approval.

As Project Developer, you will take full ownership of projects, ensuring they are economically viable, technically feasible, and permitting-ready. You will coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining strict oversight of timelines, budgets, quality standards, and development milestones.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable sites and land for wind, solar PV, and BESS projects, including feasibility analyses and land acquisition
• Develop and optimize projects while managing permitting and planning processes
• Coordinate with consultants, planners, authorities, and project partners throughout the approval process
• Assess grid connection options, project layouts, and economic viability
• Manage project costs, schedules, risks, and budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities, grid operators, and business partners
• Prepare projects for financing, marketing, sales, or handover to construction and realization phases

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree or comparable qualification in a technical or energy economics field
• Professional experience in renewable energy project development, grid integration, or grid connection planning
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and foundational understanding of grid technical requirements
• Analytical, structured, and self-directed working approach
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Professional-level German and advanced English language skills required
• Based in or willing to relocate to Germany (Eastern Germany focus)
