About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Project Developer for Eastern Germany. In this role, you will take full ownership of wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects from initial site identification through permitting approval and handover to construction teams. You will drive economically viable, technically feasible projects while coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners including landowners, municipalities, authorities, and grid operators.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable sites and land for wind, PV, and BESS projects, including feasibility analyses and land acquisition
• Lead project development and optimization, managing permitting and planning procedures while coordinating consultants, planners, authorities, and project partners
• Assess grid connection options, project layouts, and economic viability; manage costs, schedules, risks, and project budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities, grid operators, and business partners
• Coordinate internal and external project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Prepare projects for financing, marketing, sale, or transition to the construction and implementation phase

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree or equivalent qualification in a technical or energy economics field
• Professional experience in renewable energy project development, grid integration, or grid connection planning
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and foundational understanding of grid-technical requirements
• Analytical, structured, and self-directed working style
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Professional-level German language skills required; advanced English proficiency expected
