Production Planner

Gafsgi is hiring a Production Planner to join our team in Newton, KS. This is a full-time position focused on optimizing production workflows, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring our operations run efficiently to meet customer demand.

What This Role Involves

As a Production Planner at Gafsgi in Newton, you'll be the backbone of our manufacturing operations, bridging forecasting, scheduling, and execution. You'll work cross-functionally with production teams, supply chain, and management to keep projects on track, materials flowing, and deadlines met. This role offers hands-on responsibility for planning activities that directly impact our company's performance and customer satisfaction in the Newton area and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and resource availability
• Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and production teams to ensure materials are available when needed
• Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements
• Manage inventory levels and plan material requirements to minimize waste and holding costs
• Prepare reports on production performance, capacity utilization, and key planning metrics
• Respond to schedule changes and unexpected disruptions with effective, timely solutions
• Support quality assurance by ensuring production plans align with quality standards

Who We're Looking For

• Experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or a related operations role
