About This Position

As a Trust Tax Accountant II at Frostbank, you'll play a key role in managing tax compliance and reporting for trust accounts and estates. This position builds on foundational accounting experience, advancing your expertise in trust taxation, fiduciary accounting, and regulatory requirements. You'll collaborate with senior tax professionals and trust administration teams to ensure accurate, timely filing and seamless client service across diverse trust structures and client needs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for trusts, estates, and related entities under supervision of senior accountants
• Maintain detailed trust accounting records and ensure compliance with fiduciary accounting standards
• Assist with tax research and analysis on trust-related tax issues and regulatory changes
• Coordinate with trust administration and legal teams to gather necessary documentation and client information
• Support the preparation of tax projection schedules, income distributions, and fiduciary tax reports
• Review client files for completeness and accuracy prior to tax return filing
• Respond to routine client questions regarding trust tax matters under guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting or tax experience, preferably in trust and estate tax
• Strong working knowledge of trust taxation, fiduciary accounting, and Form 1041 preparation
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of federal tax regulations and estate and gift tax principles
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• CPA certification or current pursuit of CPA licensure preferred
