Product Security Engineer Intern (Next Level Internship)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a leading SaaS organization in Indonesia for a Product Security Engineer Intern position. This is a competitive internship opportunity designed for achievement-oriented students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in application security and penetration testing.

This 3-month internship program offers practical exposure to vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) in a fast-paced SaaS environment, working directly with experienced security professionals to protect enterprise software products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across web applications, APIs, and mobile applications
• Support manual and automated testing for common vulnerability classes including OWASP Top 10, business logic flaws, and authentication/authorization issues
• Help triage, validate, and document security findings with clear reproduction steps, risk ratings, and remediation recommendations
• Assist in tracking remediation of identified vulnerabilities with engineering teams through to closure
• Support secure code review activities and threat modeling sessions for new features and products
• Help maintain and tune vulnerability scanning tools and internal testing tooling
• Contribute to building and improving internal VAPT playbooks, checklists, and testing methodologies
• Explore AI tools and technologies including AI agents and MCP to identify opportunities for enhancing security testing workflows and reporting
• Design and build automation to streamline repetitive security testing tasks

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed (within 1 year of graduation) a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• University student studying in Indonesia OR alumnus maximum 1 year after graduation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills with ability to explain technical findings clearly, both written and verbal
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced security environment

Preferred:

• Basic understanding of web/application security concepts such as OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability types
• Familiarity with VAPT tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nmap, or similar
• Basic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation
• Basic knowledge of AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
