Audio Engineer – Fully Remote | Upto $54/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking an experienced Audio Engineer for a fully remote contract engagement based in Mexico. Our client is developing cutting-edge music generation technology and needs qualified professionals to evaluate and improve their AI model outputs.

This is a contract position offering up to 20 hours per week for a duration of up to 6 months, with immediate availability required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across multiple genres for musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
• Label and categorize songs by genre, structure, instrumentation, vocal characteristics, and other musical attributes
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material to assess quality and accuracy
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines while contributing to AI model performance improvements
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance training data quality and refine model outputs

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish (Mexico) with ability to follow detailed instructions in English
• 2+ years of professional experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
• Professional headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening and audio evaluation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training in music performance, music theory, or composition
• Credited or commercially released work in production, engineering, or mixing
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Spanish (Mexico) music genres, sub-genres, and artists
