English Instructor (FT) Remote – ID

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential educational services organization seeking a Full-Time Remote English Instructor to work with middle and high school students across the United States. This is not a gig-based position—our client invests in full-time professionals who build lasting core skills rather than teaching test-taking shortcuts.

This role focuses on small-group instruction that prepares students for college readiness exams and develops their critical thinking and writing abilities for long-term academic success.

Responsibilities

• Instruct small groups of students in English core skills, promoting deep understanding and strong performance on standardized college readiness exams
• Track student progress through a multi-phase curriculum and provide individualized growth opportunities
• Maintain and update student lesson schedules, hold students accountable for assignments, and communicate professionally and promptly
• Develop and execute creative, evolving lesson plans that engage learners
• Mentor students with empathy, recognizing the competitive and stressful nature of the college application process

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a humanities field from a US institution (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.; Master's preferred)
• 1+ years of teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.5+ GPA)
• Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G Suite
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
• Availability during operational hours: Tuesdays–Thursdays 1:30 pm–9:30 pm CST; Saturdays–Sundays 9:30 am–5:30 pm CST (Mondays and Fridays off)

Preferred qualities:

• College or community college teaching experience
• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy and ability to create customized lesson plans using real-world examples
• Dynamic, outgoing personality with a passion for student success
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
