Responsibilities
We are representing a fast-growing healthtech organization seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their technical team in Paris. In this role, you will build data products that deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across the organization. Your work will directly contribute to improving healthcare access and outcomes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Python (Dagster) to support the organization's AI and analytics initiatives
- Develop and maintain data marts in BigQuery using SQL/Jinja and DBT
- Create executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Ensure data quality, security (including GDPR compliance), and availability through proactive monitoring and optimization
- Support the organization's AI strategy by delivering high-quality data infrastructure and pipelines
What We're Looking For
Our client is seeking an experienced data professional with the following qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and DBT for building and maintaining data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Metabase, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) stack, particularly BigQuery
- Experience using AI code assistants (Claude, Cursor, or similar tools)
- Solid understanding of functional data domains including Sales, Finance, Web Analytics, and Product
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
- Fluent in English
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience building or supporting AI products
- Familiarity with Vertex AI
- Working knowledge of GDPR regulations and data privacy requirements
Technical environment: The tech stack includes Python, SQL, DBT, BigQuery, Tableau, and Dagster. The broader engineering organization works with Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native on a cloud-native platform.
