Interview Engineer (Australia)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking Interview Engineers based in Australia. This is a contractor/freelancer opportunity where compensation is task-based. Our client operates globally and requires all applications to be submitted in English.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technical interviews with software developers through a structured platform
• Conduct objective evaluations of candidates' fundamental coding skills and technical knowledge
• Create an inclusive and enjoyable candidate experience while assessing technical competencies
• Provide detailed input on candidate performance, including coding style, communication skills, and problem-solving approaches
• Evaluate knowledge question responses and coding methodologies
• Collaborate with internal teams to test content, processes, and products
• Help mitigate bias and improve hiring signals in technical assessments

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• High level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable access to a working webcam, microphone, and stable Internet connection
• Experience conducting technical interviews is preferred, particularly in areas such as data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work independently as a contractor/freelancer
• Must be based in Australia
