Afterhours Account Executive

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential logistics organization in their search for an Afterhours Account Executive. This role focuses on managing expedited freight operations during non-traditional business hours, with primary responsibility for smaller equipment shipments including cargo vans, Sprinter vans, and box trucks. When expedited volume is lighter, you'll provide critical support to truckload operations.

This is a remote position working Friday through Monday, 8am-6pm CST.

Responsibilities

• Source carriers and secure capacity for expedited shipments, specializing in cargo vans, Sprinter vans, and box trucks
• Dispatch small equipment and truckload shipments for assigned customer accounts
• Track active expedited shipments and monitor status from pickup through final delivery
• Communicate proactively with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to provide timely shipment updates
• Handle after-hours issues including delays, missed appointments, and other shipment-related problems
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries to ensure shipments remain on schedule
• Enter loads and update shipment information in the transportation management system
• Maintain regular customer communication and respond to shipment-related inquiries
• Support truckload operations during slower expedited periods through tracking and carrier communication
• Proactively resolve operational issues to ensure smooth execution and strong customer service

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in U.S. freight brokerage, logistics, dispatch, or expedited transportation
• Hands-on experience with expedited freight and smaller equipment such as cargo vans, Sprinter vans, and box trucks
• Strong experience in carrier sourcing, dispatching, shipment tracking, and issue resolution
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in an after-hours environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and think critically under time pressure
• Comfort with transportation management systems and logistics technology platforms

Work Arrangement: Remote, equipment provided. Schedule is Friday through Monday, 8am-6pm CST. 10+ business days of paid time off.
