Patient Care Technician – Toledo Hospital – Flower Hospital – Part Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team at Promedica's Toledo Hospital and Flower Hospital locations. As a Patient Care Technician, you will serve as a vital member of our patient care team, assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their comfort, and supporting clinical staff to deliver quality healthcare services. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while developing your career in the healthcare field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and activities of daily living
• Help patients with positioning, transfers, and mobility as directed by nursing staff
• Monitor and report patient vital signs and changes in patient condition
• Maintain patient rooms, ensure comfort and safety, and manage patient belongings
• Support nursing staff with patient care tasks and clinical procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Document patient care activities and observations accurately

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Patient care experience or training in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and support patients safely
• Compassion for patients and commitment to excellent care
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and support teams
• Reliability and professional demeanor in a fast-paced hospital environment
