RN – Freestanding Emergency Center / Urgent Care

Join Promedica as a Registered Nurse in our Freestanding Emergency Center / Urgent Care facility in Maumee, Ohio. Position Summary

As an RN at our Maumee freestanding emergency center, you'll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with acute and urgent medical needs. This role combines the intensity of emergency nursing with the accessibility of an urgent care setting, enabling you to make a meaningful difference in your community. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to ensure every patient receives timely, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and triage to prioritize care based on clinical urgency
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments under provider direction
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, reporting changes promptly to clinical leadership
• Assist with emergency procedures, wound management, and diagnostic testing
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions for home care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills suited to emergency care
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety, comfort, and dignity
• Prior emergency department, urgent care, or acute care nursing experience is valued
