Progleasing seeks an analytical Data Scientist to join our team in Utah. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive insights through data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning applications that directly impact business decisions and product development.
Role Overview
As our Data Scientist, you'll translate complex data into actionable intelligence that shapes strategy across the organization. You'll work at the intersection of statistics, engineering, and business acumen, partnering with cross-functional teams to solve real-world challenges. This is a hands-on role where your analytical skills and technical expertise will be foundational to how we compete and innovate in our market.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address business questions
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities
- Create data pipelines and automate processes that enable efficient analysis at scale
- Develop predictive models that forecast outcomes and inform strategic planning
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate insights into measurable improvements
- Communicate findings through visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor model performance in production and refine approaches based on real-world feedback
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in data science, analytics, statistics, or a quantitative field
- Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, experimental design, and causal inference
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Ability to work with large datasets and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in analysis and reporting
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field; advanced degree a plus
