What This Role Involves
As a Caregiver or CNA with Phoenix Home Care and Hospice in Wichita, you'll provide essential direct patient care in home environments, assisting individuals with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and mobility support. Your work is vital—you'll help patients maintain dignity and comfort while supporting their independence and quality of life throughout their care journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care activities
- Monitor and report vital signs and health changes to nursing staff
- Help patients with mobility, transferring, and safe positioning
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments
- Support medication reminders and documentation as directed by the clinical team
- Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Communicate clearly with the care team about patient needs and concerns
Who We're Looking For
- Current CNA certification (or equivalent qualifications) required for CNA positions
- Genuine compassion, patience, and commitment to patient wellbeing
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and daily activities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and ability to maintain professional boundaries
