Stake Center Locating is seeking a full-time Locate Technician in Greenville, South Carolina to join our field operations team. This is an entry-level position that combines hands-on technical work with comprehensive paid training to help you launch a stable career in utility locating and damage prevention.

About the Role

As a Locate Technician, you'll work in the field to identify and mark underground utility lines before excavation begins. This role is essential to preventing costly accidents and property damage across our service area in Greenville County. You'll use industry-standard equipment and marking materials to locate utilities, communicate findings clearly, and maintain accurate job records—all while working in a team environment that prioritizes safety and precision.

What You'll Do

• Locate underground utilities including gas, electric, water, and telecommunications lines using specialized detection equipment
• Mark located utilities with paint and flags according to industry color-coding standards
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and document findings for each job site
• Communicate with contractors, property owners, and team members about utility locations and safety protocols
• Maintain vehicles and field equipment in good working condition
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a zero-incident work environment

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
