Network & Infrastructure Engineer (gn)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international organization with modern facilities and a robust IT infrastructure. To support seamless global collaboration, our client is continuously expanding and modernizing their network and infrastructure environment. We're seeking a skilled professional who will not only operate but actively develop IT infrastructure and networks while setting technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and advance network infrastructure across German locations
• Administer firewalls, VPN connections, switching, routing, and VLAN environments
• Analyze and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues at 2nd and 3rd level support
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of the network landscape
• Manage core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and certificate management
• Plan and implement infrastructure and network projects such as site connections, migrations, and system deployments
• Collaborate with external service providers while ensuring compliance with defined standards and SLAs
• Document the environment and continuously improve operational processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT-focused education or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of professional IT experience operating infrastructure with network focus
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and analyzing complex incidents
• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, and Active Directory structures
• Experience with hybrid IT infrastructures and virtualized environments (ideally VMware)
• Knowledge of modern IT security concepts
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with proactivity and team spirit
