Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization in their search for a highly experienced Linux Subject Matter Expert to support enterprise infrastructure and automation initiatives. This is a contract position requiring onsite presence in Oakland, CA once per week.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure at scale
- Lead automation initiatives and strategic platform projects
- Provide expert-level guidance on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
- Oversee system management through Red Hat Satellite
- Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible
- Serve as the technical authority on Linux administration best practices
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of professional Linux administration experience
- Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Proven experience with Red Hat Satellite for system management
- Strong background in Ansible Automation and infrastructure as code
- Demonstrated ability to support enterprise-scale Linux environments
- Strategic thinking and platform architecture skills
- Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA once weekly
