Senior Database Tester

About This Opportunity

Our client, a confidential financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Database Tester to join their team. This is a long-term project based in either McLean, VA, or Plano, TX, with a full-time onsite requirement (5 days per week).

Responsibilities

• Test complex data workflows, metadata structures, and data modeling implementations
• Validate database integrity, relationships, and entity structures
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for data pipelines and transformations
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure data quality standards
• Document testing procedures and defects with detailed technical analysis
• Perform regression testing on database changes and schema updates

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as a Database Tester, specifically testing data and metadata workflows
• Strong background in data modeling concepts including entities, relationships, and normalization
• Proven ability to test beyond application UI layers, focusing on backend data validation
• Experience with SQL and database query optimization for testing purposes
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouse testing methodologies
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in either McLean, VA, or Plano, TX
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
