About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the automotive technology sector who is seeking a Lead Embedded Engineer to join their team in Dearborn, Wayne County. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced embedded systems professional to take on a leadership role working with cutting-edge platforms and technologies.
Responsibilities
As Lead Embedded Engineer, you will:
- Architect and develop embedded software solutions for ARM-based platforms
- Build and maintain Linux-based embedded systems using Yocto build frameworks
- Integrate and optimize systemd services and hardware watchdog functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on microservices architecture and inter-process communication
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members on embedded best practices
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of embedded software development experience
- Hands-on expertise with Yocto Linux build systems
- Strong experience with ARM-based embedded platforms (NXP i.MX6 or similar architectures)
- Working knowledge of systemd service management and hardware watchdog integration
- Proven ability to optimize Linux operating systems for embedded environments
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core microservices architecture
- Experience with lightweight IPC frameworks such as ZeroMQ or D-Bus
- Background working in regulated industries preferred
