Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Cloud Data Security Consultant in Phoenix, AZ. This role operates on a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote.
In this position, you will assess end-to-end architecture from data security and privacy perspectives. Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing data flows across cloud service projects, virtual agents, conversational AI platforms, telephony systems, and API proxies
- Evaluating security controls for data storage solutions including datastores and analytics platforms
- Conducting comprehensive security assessments of cloud infrastructure and data pipelines
- Providing recommendations to strengthen data protection and privacy controls
- Collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to implement security best practices
What We're Looking For
Our client requires candidates with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
- Google Cloud Platform (must-have skill)
- Microsoft Sentinel for security monitoring and threat detection
- Terraform for infrastructure as code
- VPC architecture and network security design
- IAM (Identity and Access Management) implementation and governance
- Experience assessing data security across multi-component cloud architectures
- Strong understanding of data privacy principles and compliance frameworks
