Lead Data Product Manager

Workiva is hiring a Lead Data Product Manager for a remote position across the United States. In this full-time leadership role, you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a core data product platform.

About the Role

You'll lead the vision and delivery of a mission-critical data product that powers customer success and business growth. Combining technical depth with product strategy, you'll drive decisions that shape how teams use data to solve real problems. You'll lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, analytics, and go-to-market teams while developing product managers and fostering a data-driven product culture.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set product strategy and roadmap for your data product area based on customer research and business priorities
• Partner with engineering and design to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver on commitments
• Conduct research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and validate product direction
• Use data and analytics to measure product performance, identify trends, and guide continuous improvement
• Lead product launches and coordinate go-to-market execution across teams
• Coach and mentor product managers and junior team members
• Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders across the organization

What You Bring

• 5+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years in a lead or principal product role
• Deep experience building data products, analytics platforms, or technical software solutions
• Strong quantitative skills including SQL proficiency and hands-on analytics capability
• Proven ability to lead teams through complex, ambiguous problems
• Skill in translating technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa
• Track record of shipping products that drive measurable business outcomes
• Strategic vision paired with execution excellence and customer empathy
