Laravel Senior Backend Developer (m/w/d) – Skaliere mit uns auf Millionen-Traffic

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization in Germany seeking a Senior Laravel Backend Developer to build and scale high-performance systems handling millions of requests daily.

You will develop production-grade backend systems that must perform flawlessly under real-world conditions:

• Build real-time trading platforms supporting up to 30,000 concurrent users during live events, implementing WebSockets, broadcasting, and performance optimization under extreme load
• Develop automated subscription systems with complex calculations using event-driven architecture
• Create and maintain e-commerce backend APIs processing millions of requests, managing complex transactions, portfolio systems, and live pricing feeds
• Design scalable microservices architecture, optimize Eloquent for large datasets, and build Artisan commands for critical business processes
• Ensure system reliability and performance for a platform serving over 2 million users with 1.5 billion requests

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who truly masters Laravel and has proven experience with high-traffic systems:

• Deep expertise in PHP 8+ and Laravel framework—you understand how to architect Laravel applications properly, not just the basics
• Demonstrated experience handling real production load and building systems that scale
• Strong SQL database skills with ability to write performant queries for millions of requests
• Proven track record developing scalable web applications that perform under pressure
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience with Git and structured version control practices
• Problem-solver mentality—when critical issues arise, you take ownership and resolve them
• Self-driven approach to learning new technologies
• Bonus: Experience with Vue.js, Nuxt, TailwindCSS, or Laravel Filament

Technical environment includes: Custom Laravel framework, PHP 8+, SingleStore, ElasticSearch, Redis, queues, AWS serverless infrastructure, and Nuxt/Vue.js frontend.
