Hospital – CDI Specialist, Associate

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization that needs a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist Associate to join their inpatient team. In this role, you will assess and review inpatient medical records to ensure documentation accurately reflects diagnosis and treatment. You'll collaborate with providers, patient caregivers, quality departments, and medical coding teams to ensure appropriate DRG assignment. Your work will facilitate modifications to medical record documentation to accurately reflect patient severity of illness, risk of mortality, and correct DRG classification. You will report to the CDI Manager in a hospital setting.

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a CDI professional with:

• Clinical documentation integrity experience in an inpatient hospital environment
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnosis coding, and DRG assignment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
• Knowledge of coding guidelines and documentation standards
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medical record review
