Founding Talent Lead (m/f/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AI technology company in Berlin that is building the foundation of their talent function. With Series A funding secured and a growing customer base, our client needs a strategic talent professional to establish scalable hiring processes across technical and business functions.

This is a founding-level role where you'll own the complete talent lifecycle and have direct impact on company culture and growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end hiring processes: role scoping, job descriptions, sourcing strategies, structured interviews, offer negotiation, and closing
• Build proactive talent pipelines for technical and non-technical roles through multiple channels
• Establish hiring standards including interview scorecards, interviewer training, and consistent candidate assessment frameworks
• Develop employer brand initiatives targeted at technical and AI talent through content, events, and referral programs
• Partner with founders on cultural initiatives including onboarding programs, team rituals, and feedback mechanisms
• Implement data-driven decision making and continuous process improvement

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in fast-paced startup, scale-up, or agency environments
• Proven track record identifying and closing exceptional talent with clear quality assessment frameworks
• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with founders and leadership
• Demonstrable early-stage company experience you can reference
• Systems-thinking approach with data-driven mindset
• Experience building employer branding for engineering or AI roles is a strong plus
• Comfortable working in-office in Berlin
