Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology company in their search for a Forward Deployed Engineer based in London, UK. Our client is transforming enterprise workflows through cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. In this role, you'll serve as the critical technical bridge between engineering teams and strategic enterprise customers, working on-site to solve complex integration challenges and drive successful platform adoption.

This position offers significant travel opportunities (25-35% globally) and the chance to work with sophisticated AI systems while directly impacting customer success outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding for enterprise clients, including system integration, API configuration, and workflow optimization
• Design and implement customized solutions in collaboration with sales, solutions architects, and product teams
• Gather requirements, propose solutions, and implement code-based fixes on-site with customers
• Provide on-site technical support and training to ensure successful platform adoption
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for escalated issues, diagnosing problems and implementing timely solutions
• Deliver expert technical consultation on platform capabilities within complex enterprise environments
• Act as feedback channel between customers and core engineering/product teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation including integration guides and troubleshooting resources
• Travel frequently to client sites across multiple regions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Support Engineer
• Strong AI knowledge including understanding of LLM training and inference, batch/online learning, context windows, and performance trade-offs
• Current knowledge of best-in-class AI tools and adoption processes across various workflows
• Understanding or demonstrated experience using MCP to build agentic workflows
• Strong business acumen with ability to align technical solutions to customer growth and efficiency objectives
• Solid understanding of software integration principles and API experience (RESTful, SOAP)
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, JavaScript preferred)
• Experience with enterprise software deployments and integrations
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex technical issues
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Customer-centric mindset with passion for client success
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Experience with translation management systems or localization workflows is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
