Field Service Engineer (m/w/d) für unbemannte Luftfahrtsysteme (UAS)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization seeking a Field Service Engineer for unmanned aerial systems. In this role, you will be the critical link between advanced drone technology and operational deployment.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting customer demonstrations, system presentations, and test flights domestically and internationally
• Supporting commissioning of new drone systems at customer sites and analyzing and resolving technical issues in the field
• Training and instructing customers, including pilots, operational personnel, and technical staff
• Creating and maintaining operational, training, and deployment documentation
• Providing feedback from practical field experience to development and product management teams
• Supporting flight preparations, risk analyses, and mission planning to ensure safe and professional operations
• Representing the organization professionally in customer-facing situations

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with strong technical foundations and hands-on drone operations experience:

• Completed technical degree or apprenticeship in aviation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or comparable qualification
• Proven experience operating drones or unmanned systems, ideally in professional environments
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving in customer-facing situations
• Comfort with direct customer contact and training delivery
• Drone pilot license/remote pilot certificate (e.g., A2, STS, Specific Category) preferred
• Knowledge of UAV regulations (EASA, Open/Specific Category) highly valued
• Fluent German and English language skills required
• Willingness to travel for international deployments and customer support
