About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization with a strong presence across Europe. Our talent team is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Munich-based operations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cloud infrastructure projects while mentoring team members and driving DevOps transformation for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and automate modern cloud infrastructures using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Build scalable Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and establish best practices for platform operations
- Develop, optimize, and operate CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Support clients in implementing efficient DevOps processes and achieving high levels of automation
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, or on-premises environments)
- Implement modern deployment strategies and GitOps approaches while ensuring scalability, high availability, and security
- Establish monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Implement security and compliance requirements including IAM, certificate management, and vulnerability management
- Advise clients on multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies and guide them toward modern DevOps practices
- Participate in technical architecture decisions and mentor less experienced colleagues
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
- Minimum 6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, including modular architecture design
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern automation processes
- Solid knowledge in operating and administering Kubernetes environments
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or Go
- Experience with OpenShift or Rancher is advantageous
- Fluent German (C1 level) and English language skills required
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
